COMMUNITY EYECARE PROGRAM

At Advanced Eyecare Professionals (AEP), we believe that one’s financial situation should not be the deciding factor in whether one can obtain quality eye care. That is why in 2007 we put together a special in office program to help those that are in financial need receive quality vision care. The internal program started as a one day a year event, but based on need is now offered year-round  with a qualification form and is called the Community Eyecare Program.  Our goal is to help people in need locally within Barry, Ionia and Kent counties where our three offices are located in Hastings, Ionia and Lowell Michigan.

Over the years AEP has had the privilege of helping over 700 patients receive free eye exams as well as a free pair of glasses if needed, and also continue to work with many of those patients’ to care for their ongoing medical eye conditions.

The Community Eyecare Program is possible through donations from AEP itself, several community organizations and businesses that have given donations as well as individual community members. The donations go directly to the program (not for profit).
